Among the many varieties cultivated in Lebanon there are those that have specific characteristics, taste, size and hardness that favor the exportability in Arab, Asian and European markets such as: Taliani1, Feraouni2, Succary3, Zahry4, Baskintawi5 (The variety Baskintawi is like the Banny variety, but with a short stem), Moukahal (RainBow) 6 Different elements can change the price of cherry, including quality and seasonality7; when the wholesale prices are negotiated, the size and freshness are evaluated, which is determined based on the color of the stem (the freshest green) and the maturation, which is evaluated by the color of the skin (darker).
